Apparel/Dress Code

What apparel is provided by the program and when should I wear it?
At least one month before the program, students and leaders will receive a People to People polo shirt, a name badge, and a lanyard. When departing and returning home, both delegates and leaders are expected to wear khaki or non-denim, Docker-style pants (plain, not cargo-style), the People to People polo shirt, the name badge, and your lanyard.

I wish to order additional polo shirts or other People to People merchandise. How do I place an order?
Students and leaders should follow the Apparel and Gear link from OnBoard’s Travel Center to ensure that the Delegate or Leader ID# is referenced in the order. (Leaders can also select Order Apparel on the leader website.)

Anyone who is not a student or leader can go to www.peopletopeople.com and look for the Apparel and Gear link. Please have chest, waist, hip, and torso measurements ready, and utilize the size charts.

I don't see my polo size. Is it sold out? Is it unavailable?
Available quantities of polo shirts are limited, so we suggest ordering as early as possible. We cannot guarantee availability, but do contact us using the link at the bottom of the store page to inquire about any items you’d like to purchase that are not currently stocked.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
To ensure you receive your apparel prior to departure, orders must be placed no later than 4 weeks prior to your departure date. The custom decorating for most of our items takes up to 3 weeks.

Items not requiring decorating require up to 72 hours for packing. Your selected method of shipping, ground or 2nd-day, occurs once all custom decorating is complete and/or the order is packed for mailing.

How may I check on the status of my order?
If you have not received your order in the expected timeframe, please call the program office at 800.669.7882 or email merchandise@ptpprograms.org. Please have your Delegate ID/Leader ID number and your PO number (00222-Axxxxx) for reference so we can look up your order details.

What methods of payment are accepted?
All major credit cards are accepted, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. The expiration date on your credit card must be valid for 45 days from the time of order.

When will my credit card be billed for the order?
Your credit card will be billed immediately, as each order is custom-decorated. Please note: The charge will appear on your credit card statement with the name of our partner, American Solutions for Business, not People to People.

Who do I contact if I have other questions?
The program office is available to answer all your questions regarding your apparel order. Please contact us at 800.669.7882 or merchandise@ptpprograms.org.

How do you suggest we place an order if we do not have access to the web? Are you able to mail me a catalog of items that are available?
The catalog of items available is only available on-line. We would recommend using the connection of a family member or friend. Many local libraries also offer free Internet access.

I just placed my order; can I make a quick change?
Once your order is submitted, it immediately goes into production. Due to the volume of orders being processed every day it is not always possible to make a change to the order after it has been submitted. You may make an inquiry to the program office to cancel the order. A representative will confirm whether or not your order was successfully cancelled. Regardless, please re-order the correct item. If needed, you may return the incorrect item once you receive it. We will credit you for the cost of the apparel once we receive your returned item.

How do I find out prices?
In order to view pricing you must complete quantity and select the color. Once you have completed both quantity and color selection, the pricing will populate on the screen. .

Is there any way to order apparel within a shorter timeframe?
It is possible to select 2nd-day shipping with your order. As many items are made on a customized basis, 5-7 days are required for processing plus the time to ship, for a minimum of 7-9 days for your order to arrive if you select this shipping option.

What is the dress code for the program?
Most daily activities call for comfortable yet presentable clothing. Plan to wear cotton slacks, nice jeans (no holes or tears), or walking shorts. Bear in mind that lighter-weight fabrics will be easier and lighter to pack and will dry easily overnight when laundering is required.

Meetings with officials, special dinners, and concerts require formal dress, meaning shirts and ties for boys, and dresses, skirts, or slacks for girls.
