Orientation Meetings
The Student Ambassador journey begins long before departure.

You and your child will attend four two-hour orientation meetings to prepare during the months before the delegation embarks on the Student Ambassador journey. For many Student Ambassadors, lifelong friendships begin at the very first meeting.

Count on these meetings to help you:
  • Learn about the culture and history of your child's destination
  • Find out what to pack
  • Review all air and land travel details
  • Answer any other questions you or your child may have about the journey
  • Meet delegation leaders and see them in action

Get everything you need to know before you go.

People to People Explore Guides provide interesting facts and give your child a comprehensive overview of the culture, history and government of the places they will experience.

The Student Protocol provides detailed information on preparing for a successful program such as applying for a passport, phoning home during the journey, staying healthy and much more. You will receive a parent version of the Protocol so you can support these efforts and activities.

Our take-along Program Guides help your child appreciate what makes their destination unique, with fun, hands-on activities that let them discover the true highpoints at museums, government buildings and heritage sites.
