When he touches down in China this June, Jake Copeskey will have traveled to all seven continents as a Student Ambassador before the age of 17. Along the way, he has learned about himself and the world around him.
The appalling poverty he witnessed in South America cemented his dream of becoming a surgeon and instilled a desire to practice in a third-world area. Jake's eye for photography was discovered by a leader who was also a National Geographic photographer. Spending a few days on a New Zealand farm showed him another way of living.
"People to People opened my eyes to the world in such a different way," Copeskey said. "I've seen so much that I never could have seen any other way."
