Academic Credit
Set Yourself Apart on University Applications

High School Credit
People to People Student Ambassadors in grades 9-12 can earn academic credit. Upon enrollment, students will be automatically registered in a high school level elective course with the Washington School of World Studies (WSWS). This accredited institution has developed courses that build upon the Student Ambassador experience and reinforce the People to People mission of peace through understanding.

In addition to course work, WSWS recognizes contributions Student Ambassadors make to their local and global communities. Students in grades 9-12 who complete all course requirements will receive a transcript from WSWS highlighting their academic achievements and service projects. Students in grades 5-8 who complete the course requirements receive a "Certificate of Completion". This certificate may be presented to classroom teachers for possible extra credit.

Students can also earn additional high school credit through online course offered by the Washington School of World Studies. Our courses in Mandarin Chinese, Global Economics, and Geography and World Cultures combine the flexibility of online education while supplementing your travel experience. University Credit
Student Ambassadors can also earn advanced placement college credit in areas such as history, art, photography and journalism.

Through our partnership with Eastern Washington University's (EWU) Eisenhower Center, we are able to offer university courses to all Student Ambassadors in grades 7-12.

Student Ambassadors in grades 9 through 12 may enroll in these EWU courses and earn up to 12 credits. Student Ambassadors in grades 7 and 8 are eligible to earn one credit per course. Since 1980, Student Ambassadors have transferred more than 40,000 college credits from EWU to the university of their choice.
