College Admissions
How can you make your application stand out in the crowded college admissions race?

Every year, the race for college admissions grows more competitive. According to the U.S. Department of Education, "by 2010, the number of high school graduates will increase by 12 percent, to 3.1 million. Two-thirds of them will head to college, up from just half only 20 years ago."

More college admissions departments are looking for unique activities that distinguish a student from the thousands of other applicants whose extracurricular activities include the student council, the school newspaper, or the high school yearbook.

Through their program experiences, Student Ambassadors gain insights and perspectives that are the foundation for compelling college interviews and college essays. While any high school student can write a college essay about his or her favorite activities, Student Ambassadors can write about their international adventures and understanding of different places and ways of life.

Student Ambassadors can also learn both high school and college credit.

Through a partnership with Eastern Washington University, Student Ambassadors are eligible for advanced placement college credits accepted at hundreds of major universities throughout the United States, including 41 of U.S. News & World Report's Top 50 Colleges.
